To Soften Skin -

  • Add 2 cups of Epsom salts, in a bathtub filled with warm water. Let your skin get soak for a few minutes. While the skin is wet you can also rub a handful of Epsom salts on the rough areas to exfoliate the skin. you will be amazed at just how good your skin feels when you get out.

  • Grind 200 g rolled oats into a fine powder and sprinkle into a tepid bath with 1/2 cupful bicarbonate of soda. The oats soothe dry, itchy skin and the bicarb helps to slough off dead skin cells.

  • Apply aloe vera gel to help your dry skin heal more quickly. it contains acids that eat away dead skin cells.

  • Use moisturizer that contains alpha hydroxy acids(AHAs) or a lotion containing urea, such as Eulactol cream for very much dry skin. These remove loose flaky skin cells to make them softer.

To Add More Moisture -

  • Puree a ripe avocado and pat the flesh onto your face as a moisturizing mask. The oil acts as an emollient. It also contains beneficial vitamin E.

  • Turn to any of these inexpensive products to trap in your skin moisture - mineral oil, petroleum jelly, peanut oil or even cooking margarine. just use them separately to avoid feeling greasy.

Soap to use -

  • Do not use deodorant soap they dry the skin as they contain perfumes.

  • Use creamy soap like Dove or Neutrogena they leave a beneficial oily film on the skin.

  • Use gentle cleansers like Cetaphil and Alpha-Keri. They remove dirt without stripping away too much natural oil.

  • Combine 3 tablespoons of almond oil, 3 tablespoon of jojoba oil, 5 drops of palmarosa oil, and 3 drops of rose oil. Store in a dark-colored glass jar and shake it before using try this homemade aromatherapy cleansing oil to remove makeup.

    Brief for Taking Bath -

  • Limit your shower to 15 min, and use warm water not hot as it tends to strip the oil from your skin

  • Add an emollient such as QV Bath Oil to bath water.

  • Shower in the evening so your skin can replace protective oils overnight while you're asleep.

Eat- Drink and be moisture -

  • Take good water intake each day. Herbal teas and juices avoid caffeinated beverages such as tea and coffee and colas.

  • Twice a week eat sardines trout or salmon these are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

  • Even walnuts, avocados, and flaxseed have these fatty acids. You can mix flaxseed into your salad dressing or breakfast cereal.

Homemade Moisturiser -

  • Melt 1 teaspoon of white beeswax and 2 tablespoons of lanolin in a double boiler.

  • Stir in 3 tablespoons of olive oil,

  • 1 Tablespoon of fresh aloe vera gel

  • 2 rosewater (get it from pharmacies).
