Irritate warts to death -
Apply freshly crushed garlic directly to the wart and cover with a bandage. The caustic effect of the garlic will cause the wart to blister and fall off in as little as a week. Apply new garlic every day, avoiding contact with the healthy surrounding skin. While protecting the area around the wart with petroleum jelly.
Pick a dandelion from the garden, break the stem, and squeeze some of its milky liquid onto your wart. Do this every day The sap is mildly irritating so it stimulates your immune system to take care of the wart.
Cover the wart with a piece of gaffer or duct tape. Cut a piece that will just cover the wart, stick it on and leave it there for six days. When you take the tape off soak the area in water for a few minutes, then use an emery board or pumice stone to file down the dead, thick skin, leave the wart uncovered overnight, and apply a new patch in the morning. Repeat the procedure until your wart has gone.
Kitchen Cure -
Tape a piece of banana skin inner side down, over a verruca _ wart every night before you go to bed. The skin contains a chemical that slowly dissolves the wart.
Rub a juicy, freshly cut slice of raw potato over a wart. (traditionally they say that you need to bury the used potato, don't know how true it is) anyways it's worth trying.
If your child has a wart, you could try making up an elaborate wart-curing ritual, such as rubbing the wart with a rock, placing the rock in a box, and then burying it. If your child believes that the ritual will get rid of the wart, it just might.
Crush a fresh basil leaf and tape it over your wart with waterproof adhesive tape. Basil leaves contain virus-killing compounds. Replace it with fresh basil for up to a week.
Rub-on Remedies -
If you have an aloe vera plant handy, break off a leaf and squeeze a few drops of the gel onto the wart. Repeat once a day as aloe vera gel contains malic acid.
Vitamin E oil is said to work against warts, once a day pierce a vitamin E capsule and rub the contents into the wart. Cod liver oil capsules are said to have the same effects.
Apply a tincture of goldenseal a herb that contains compounds that fight off bacteria and viruses.
Give Feet the Water Cure -
Verrucae are sensitive to heat and may disappear in a few weeks if you soak your feet in hot water for about 15 minutes a day according to the remedy published in a medical journal in the 1960s.
You can also add 1 part vinegar and 4 parts hot water.
The Power of Prevention -
Avoid plastic or synthetic material shoes which are mostly used for rainy shoes.
Dry the wart - verruca carefully after shower or bath.
Use braided leather shoes (kolhapuri slippers) if you get them.
Wart tends to thrive in warm moist environments mostly around public swimming pools and in changing rooms so wear slippers as shown in the picture.
